On the occasion of the Puccini centenary, the Odessa Theater, in collaboration with the Italian Cultural Institute in Ukraine, the Italian Embassy, the Italian Consulate and the Honorary Consulate of Italy in Odessa, have staged for the first time in Odessa the Puccini diptych "Suor Angelica" and "Gianni Schicchi", inviting to Odessa the Director Carlo Antonio De Lucia, who directed Suor Angelica, the Italian baritone Domenico Balzani who played Gianni Schicchi and the set designer Chiara Demelio. The event was proposed by Opera Production CD in collaboration with the International Melodrammatica Society of Pavia.
